The south west of England has the opportunity to make itself a leading region in the renewable energy sector, following the launch of the government’s low carbon and renewable energy strategies last week. With £100 million investment in marine renewables, ‘clean energy cash back’ for producing our own renewable energy, and the introduction of regional strategies on planning for building renewables, we must now drive forward the sector in the region.
